My Opinion:
Roddy's book to me is like a guide on how to do things on trumpet and pretty
much is what he describes it to be "A Self Analysis and Diagnostic Method for
Trumpet Advancement". The book covers just about any topic that has anything to
do with trumpet.
This book is very easy to follow. Roddy has written the book in a way that
you feel like as if Roddy is right there with you guiding you step by step. He
makes everything sound very logical and everything is so easy to follow. Like I
have said before to me this book is like a guide to me on how to do things and
at the same time I diagnose my playing and get the chance to fix the problems.
I recommend this book to any trumpet player. The cool thing about Roddy is
that like many of us he spent years and years buying books and studying
different things. So what he has done is put all of his knowledge into this
book. The book is straight to the point and it's great because Roddy knows
exacly what we need. If you want to you can even think of this book as the
trumpet encyclopedia.
So in conclusion this is a very good book that every trumpet player no matter
what age or level of playing should take a look at.
