For more than a century, the Arban's method has been the defininitve course of study for the trumpet. This book has 300+ pages, over an inch thick. The bible of technique, exercises, breathing, attack, embouchure. This complete method contains:

My Opinion:

Arban's Method also know as "the trumpet bible", and there is a huge reason why it is called that. It pretty much covers every single aspect of trumpet playing that anyone will ever need to know. Each set of exercises is specifically written to start at a easy level and then gradually get harder to give the student a challenge. At the very back of the book Arban includes duets, 14 characteristics and trumpet solos. The trumpet solos include the original "Carnival of Venice".

No matter how many new method books I buy I always find my self going back to my Arban's. Sometimes I just go back to practice the fundamentals or sometimes I just look for a challenge. Arban's tought me how to multiple toungue, all of my major scales and is currently teaching me how to sight read better. There are so many different way that Arban's can be used because of how deep and specific the book is.

Arban's is my favorite method book. What I think is great about Arban's is the fact that it's timeless. Even though it was written over a century ago we still use the same principals in trumpet playing that they used back then to develop the necessary trumpet skills to become a professional trumpet player.

So in conclusion I would recommend this book to any trumpet player in the world. No matter what your skill level is you should get Arban's. It's the trumpet bible and it's a most have for every single trumpet player on the planet.
